Poll: Do you like polls? (Seriously!)

I was going to do a poll like this eventually, but then, I got an email. An email suggesting that I stop relying on reader feedback and make my own decisions. Except that it wasn't phrased like that. I don't remember exactly what it said, but it was something like, "maybe come up with your own ideas instead of asking everybody else what to do all the time." Or something like that.

When I say I want constructive criticism I mean it. Okay, perhaps this person could have had a bit more tact, but that's neither here nor there. The point is, there's a few reasons why I make polls:

1. They're quick. Sometimes, instead of leaving a comment to say "yes" or "no," you just click the mouse twice and you're done. I still love comments and hearing what you have to say, but sometimes it's just easier with the one word answers!
2. They're anonymous. I don't know who answers what, so it gives people a way to tell me what they really think, without revealing who they are if they don't want to.
3. It helps me know what you think. I want to make this blog as reader-friendly as I can, and what better way than to ask for you guys' opinions!

So, here it is: another poll. Have fun with it.

Should I keep making polls?

  1. Wow. Whoever told you that really could have phrased it better. Anyways, I really like polls! I don't always have time to leave a comment and they're quick and easy. Also, I think it's nice how you really listen to your readers feedback. I understand why you do polls, it's helpful to know what readers want to see. I should really do a poll sometime whenever I have the time to start blogging more.

  2. definitely! it's a great way to let your readers interact with you and your blog as well.
there's absolutely nothing wrong with doing that! :) x

  3. I don't understand why that person got so broken up over you doing polls. I mean, it's YOUR blog, you run it the way you want. And I'm pretty sure that person's opinion represents the opinion of like .00005% of your readers.

I don't think there is anything wrong with polls. They are a great way to get readers involved and to find out people's opinions. And they're just fun and easy to do. There's nothing wrong with listening to reader's feedback.

I vote, yes, keep doing polls!! :)

  4. I voted yes =)i love your polls!

  5. Lol that person isn't really tactfull... and it's not like she (or he ? well... the probabilities of a boy reading a nail blog are low but you never know I guess) was forced to answer the poll ! I like polls, you're right it's easy and quick, you should definitly keep doing polls ! ;)
