Kelier Nail Crack Polish

Recently I had the chance to review some products sent to me by the people at Born Pretty, which is a nail art supplies store. One of the things they sent me is Kelier Nail Crack Polish, in black and purple.

A few things about these polishes; they are crackle, and not shatter, so they leave a snakeskin pattern on the nail. Or is it giraffe? I'm not sure. The brush collects a lot of polish, so make sure you have a very thin layer to apply with. I kind of messed up and got an uneven coat on my nail. Finally, it takes about three minutes for the polish to crackle. With that in mind, ch-ch-ch-check it!

First up is Purple over OPI Alpine Snow. I kind of messed up on my ring finger there, but I was still kind of getting used to the formula. Excuses, excuses!

Then I layered Black over Color Club Rebel Debutante, and I like the results!

Thoughts? I'll compare it with OPI Black Shatter shortly. But I was happy with these polishes; I had a white version of these when I was eight or so and I wore it A LOT. Plus, I like this pattern better than the OPI pattern, I think.
some of these products were provided to me for review. i purchased some of these products myself. see disclosure policy for more information

  3. Lovely effect, I haven't tried the OPI one but I have just bought the Barry M and it doesn't have anywhere near the same lovely effect as this x

  4. Pretty!! I like them both because each of them have different crackle patterns. I like that they have colors other than black, though.

  7. It crackles horizontally! All other crackle vertically... I love it :)

  8. Whoaa!! I really like that -- and I sort of hated the OPI, so that's saying quite a lot. How was removal?

  11. So beautiful! Does adding a topcoat affect the polish in anyway? It looks a lot smoother than the OPI one, and it cracks in such a lovely pattern!

  12. Angela: I recommended using a topcoat, otherwise the crackle polish will come off in flakes. And it is smoother than OPI!
