Let's talk bottles...

I couldn't for the life of me come up with a better title. But, yes, this post is about polish bottles. My feelings aren't hurt if you completely blow this post off haha. Also, to everyone who has sent me get well soon wishes, I want to thank you so much. Each and every one made me smile. I am starting to feel better--my fever broke in the middle of the night and I woke up drenched in sweat. So much so that I thought I'd wet the bed! Okay, TMI! TMI. But the point is, I am on my way to recovery from whatever this nasty bug is.

Oh, yeah. Nail polish. I was thinking about it and, how much attention do you guys pay to the different bottles different brands have? Do you even notice? And, if so, what kind of bottle do you like? PS: when you haven't had the strength to leave your bed for a few days, you start to wonder about these kinds of things! :D

What is your ideal polish bottle? I know some people LOVE the Nfu-Oh bottles, with their cute corset tops.

I personally think the Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes are very modern and chic.

The Np2 Beauty bottles are pretty funky, because they contain two parts: a topcoat, and the polish.

For example, I used to hate the Orly bottles. Hate. Don't know why. The rubber cap just bugged me. But they're tough bottles (I drop things a lot) and the rubber cap is actually very handy, so I guess it just grew on me. The BB Couture purple top makes it stand out from all my other bottles, so that's kind of cool. And I adore the Essie bottle, with the cute white top and the name sculpted in the glass. I still don't like the Nicole by OPI bottle, though. It's just...weird.
From L to R: Nicole by OPI, Zoya, BB Couture, Orly, OPI, China Glaze
From L to R: Color Club, Nailtini, Entity (Spring/Summer), Entity (Fall/Winter), Essie, N2p Beauty (w/o the topcoat)

So what do you think? Do you even care about what kind of bottle you're using?

Do you notice the shape of the bottle?
Which brand's bottle is your favorite?

  3. For some reason their bottle just bugs me lol.

And thank you! The font is from www.kevinandamanda.com (The name is Pea MLE) The heart is from a random font. And I used the product Gimp to make it, because you can make the background transparent with that program and it's a free download! :F

  7. I think I'm the only one who doesn't like the Nfu Oh bottles.. I think they look tacky and too ostentatious. I really hate the Nicole bottles; fat and squat and bleh. I enjoy square bottles; Essie, American Apparel, Color Club, etc. I think the Zoya bottles are my most favorite; They're so ladylike!

  8. Oh, I totally pay attention to bottle shapes! And I'm with Kendal on nfu oh bottles (so she's not the only one, lol) - I don't like them much. It just seems too much and i actually find them a bit cheap. I prefer minimalistic bottles. Like Zoya, with soft shapes. And color club, being simple and square, only with the flower on the cap, to make it differ from the others in the box. And I love Misa's bottle! With long, thinner cap and square bottle, one of my favourites.

  9. I do notice the shape of the bottle, but I don't give it too much thought. I really like the shape of Zoya bottles and I *hate* Nicole by OPI bottles. =)

  13. I always wonder why such brands as OPI, Sinful Colour, Colour Club or China Glaze have so big bottles. I don't like them. They are too big, kind of massive, and take too much place ;)

I like bottles of our polish brands - they are smaller and "nicer" :)

    for example:
Eveline, Wibo, Bell, Colour Alike or Joko - Find your color. You can see them here:
