Incoco Dry Nail Applique Adventures

I mean to get this post up ages and ages ago. I don't know why I kept putting it off, I just...did. It's not because I wasn't excited about it, because I really liked this product.

Most of you know about Incoco Dry Nail Appliques already, but for those who don't, they are dry strips that you stick on your nails. What surprised me is that it is actual non-liquid nail polish, not some paper material or anything. There are sixteen different sizes that you can match to fit your nails; the side of the sticker that goes on the base of your nail is kind of a "squoval" shape, and while some of my nail beds are rounder (or diamond-shaped, what the eff, Ring Finger?) it worked. Once you put it on your nail, you fold over the excess over the tip and file it off. At least, that's what I think they mean. That's what I did.

According the the website, your manicure can last up to fourteen days, but the longest I left it on for was nine days. No chips, no peeling, nada.

First I tried this frosty pink. Isn't this the perfect color for the Pink Ladies in Grease? I believe this is Tickle Pink, but don't hold me to that. I can't find the name of the color on the package, so I'm going by the colors on the website.

As you can see, I had a little trouble applying the sticker smoothly, especially at the tips of my nails. If that happens, you can kind of peel it off before it dries and try again; practice makes perfect, though.

I think it looks pretty sophisticated on my nails, if I do say so myself.

I'm not sure what happened with Oscar Night. I was all over the place with my application.
Super pretty color, though. I'll try it again.

I'm excited to try more of these, but I want to wait until my nails are a little bit longer. Have you guys ever tried these? Will you now? What were your experiences? Will I ever stop ending my posts with questions? Unlikely.

Sneaky Snake!

I'm lame. I have a lot of stuff to post, but I just don't feel well. I have also been using the word "lame" a lot.
Old picture of me with a Izzy, my brother's pet snake.

la la la I'm going to bed...night, all!

BB Couture Hangover Blues...subconscious pedicure?

I adore fall, I really do. My fingers are all tricked out in the new fall shades polish brands are cranking out. But I think I must be subconsciously missing those warm sunny days already, because I keep painting my toenails bright, summery colors. Case in point: BB Couture Hangover Blues.

It's an old (and quite frankly, unattractive) picture, but you probably don't need to scar your retinas with images of my ex-dancer, size 10, woebegone hooves, now do you?

Color Club Covered In Diamonds Top Coat

The Color Club Untamed Luxury Collection brought us some awesome polishes for the fall, including a funky top coat Covered in Diamonds. It's kind of a flaky and opalescent. Actually, it reminds me of fake snow that you see on Christmas decorations, or like when you go visit Santa in the mall (which I refused to do after age 3 following a traumatic tickling incident involving some random St. Nick in a San Diego shopping center. Personal space, dude. Personal space.)

I tested it over each polish from the collection, so this post is a little picture-heavy. Everything in moderation? Whatevs. Some combos were nice, and some were awesome. Check out which ones you like the most below!

Pretty in Platinum. Icy looking :)

 Ms. Hautie

Soft as Cashmere. Fun twist on an otherwise conservative polish.

 Positively Posh

Snakeskin. Looks amazing in person, trust me!

 Resort to Red

 De-Luxe-Cious. Drooool!

 Wild Orchid. Beautiful!

 Jewel of a Girl

 Nothing But Truffle

 Ready to Royal

Untamed Luxury. Really, words are not necessary here. Definitely fulfills my mermaid colors lemming!

Red Velvet. You have to see this one in person, too. It's ab fab dahling. Whatever that means.

I can't wait to try this top coat over other polishes...did you guys pick this one up? What are your thoughts? If you missed it, check out the rest of the Untamed Luxury Collections, Covered in Diamonds and Indulgence

Color Club Untamed Luxury: Covered in Diamonds Collection

Finally finally I'm putting the second half of this collection up! Like I've gushed in the past, I adore Color Club. Blah blah blah, check out the fotos! This is the second half of the Untamed Luxury Collection, called Covered in Diamonds.

Ms. Hautie was really the only polish I had an issue with. It's a frosty steel gray with glitter...nice in theory, but it dries gritty. A thick top coat will take care of it, but it still looks gritty, if that makes sense. 2 coats.

Resort to Red is a berry-tinged red frost with very fine shimmer, which you can see if you enlarge. Not really my type of color, but it's pretty. 2 coats.

I could not capture Snakeskin accurately, which is a shame, because it's one of my favorites from the collection. It's metallic with shimmer...silver, but with an olive green tone to it. Teeny tiny gold glitter in there, too. It's not brushstroke-y, like it appears in the picture, either! Below is a better indication of the green undertones.
Love this one! 2 coats.

De-Luxe-Cious, holla! Gray, glitter, metallic, jelly base. Perfect. It dries kind of gritty, like most glitters do.
In the shade. 3 coats.

I'm lovin' Red Velvet here. Black jelly with red glitter. It seems pretty similar to China Glaze Lubu Heels, but I don't have that one, so I can't compare for ya! This was 3 coats, but I bet it could have been done in 2.
Very vampire-esque, right?

Untamed Luxury speaks for itself. A green-blue base with glittah! 3 coats to be opaque...kind of like sparkling Caribbean ocean water?
If you can only get one polish from this collection, it should be Untamed Luxury!

This collection also comes with a topcoat, Covered in Diamonds. I'll be showing that next over all the polishes from the Diamonds and Indulgence collections, so stay tuned!

What do you guys think? Are you as enamored as I am by some of these?

Swedish Nails...

In honor of my darling Swedish friends from Boden! And to all the Swedish bloggers out there ;)

Quality is crap, as I took it on a webcam, and the mani was more of a joke for my friend than anything else, so I kind of want to redo it now and make it pretty!

Jag älskar er så mycket!

Color Club Untamed Luxury: Indulgence Collection

Within the last year I've started wearing Color Club, and it has quickly become one of my favorite brands ever. The collections have a wide variety of colors, the formula is great, and they don't just recycle the same shades over and over. I like that.

Untamed Luxury is a two-part collection, and today we're looking at the Indulgence half. To me these are your rich, haute couture colors, whereas the Diamond half is more funky and colorful.

Pretty in Platinum is one of my favorites. It's a light pearly silver with fine shimmer, which you can see better if you enlarge the picture. This was three coats to get it smooth and even.

Soft as Cashmere is a gray with taupe undertones...very soft looking (hence the name?) It was a good formula; thin in that runny Color Club way that covers great. Three coats to be completely opaque.

Positively Posh is a dark gray with a taupe undertone, and do I detect a smidgen of purple? Same formula as Soft as Cashmere, but it only took two coats for this one.

Wild Orchid, hello! Medium gray base with shimmer...beautiful! The shimmer is silver, but kind of rosy at the same time...the color in the bottle in the picture gives a good indication of what it looks like in the sun. I've never seen an orchid this color, though...just puttin' that out there. 3 coats and it dries smooth.

I love my deep, rich brown polishes, and that includes Nothing But Truffle. Chocolate brown with gold-ish shimmer...at least, to me it appeared to be gold shimmer. Look at it! It's just so yummy! 2 coats for a smooth finish.

Jewel of a Girl is a dark berry-purple with shimmer. Some hints of brown, too. This was almost a one coater, it was so rich and smooth. 2 coats.

Ready to Royal is a dark, vampy eggplant, similar to OPI William Tell Me About OPI but blacker. This seems to be a big color this fall. 2 smooooooth coats. Like, it just glided onto the nail perfectly.

Awesome fall collection. The cremes were thin and spreadable, while the shimmers were smooth and opaque. Color Club, you have made me quite happy here. What are your favorites? Have you picked any up yet?

OPI Swiss Collection [Part II of II]

What's up, guys and gals? Today we have the second half of the OPI Swiss Collection for you. This is a great collection, in my opinion. I don't love all of the colors personally, but that just means that there is a color in here for everybody, and that, to me, is what makes a collection great. What do you think?

Just A Little Rösti At This is a deep berry hue. This one in particular had a terrific application, just perfectly smooth and even. 2 coats.

William Tell Me About OPI has "vampy" written all over it. I don't own a ton of polishes like this blackened plummy purple, so it was a welcome addition to my stash. It seems a lot of companies this year are releasing colors like this one, and that's fine by me! This one also had a great application, and removal was a snap! I was dreading stained fingers, but I was wrong. 2 coats.

Cuckoo for this Color is one of those amazing colors that I feel OPI doesn't crank out often enough. Great formula, dries smooth, and check out the freakin' color! It's a deep blue-green, I think. Other bloggers have described it as green with a blue shimmer, but to me it has that teal quality. 3 coats.

Yodel Me On My Cell is a beautiful shimmery blue. I mean, look at it. It's bright and cheery, yet deep enough that it's appropriate for fall. I love OPI shimmers and I love OPI blues, so this one was a real treat for me. I'll have to compare it with OPI Sea? I Told You! and OPI Catch Me In Your Net. 3 coats.

Another one of my favorites in this collection has to be Diva of Geneva. Wow. It glows, doesn't it? It's a warm grape purple with magenta shimmer. This was an unexpected WIN for me! 3 coats.

Finally, we'll wrap it up with Glitzerland. This is one of my favorite polishes from the collection. I love the pale gold, the foil finish, the way it catches the light...and it dries smooth. Jackpot, seriously. It reminds me of OPI Dazzled By Gold, so I'll have to compare. 3 coats.

What do you guys think? As I mentioned before, I think this is a great collection, and I never get tired of the "destination" themes. I hope they do one for Sweden soon. Hint hint, OPI ;)

Did you buy any of these? What were your experiences?
