China Glaze Rainbow

First of all, thank you so much to those that have wished me well or checked up on me. My surgery went perfectly, and now I'm just resting on the couch with ice packs and mashed potatoes.

Weird, though. As I was waking up out of surgery, I accused my doctor of injecting me with heroin and not the normal sedatives...I don't know where that came from at all, but the nurse, doctor, and my mother all got a chuckle out of it, along with my dad and brothers when I burst through the door into the house and screamed about my recent forced-drug use.

Anyway, I'm at least slightly more coherent, so I wanted to share what was my Wisdom Teeth Surgery Mani. Yep, it has its own name.

I'm not really sure how to put Rainbow into words. It's a pearly, opalescent white, with a lilac hue to it. In the light it gleams pink and green. It reminds me of bubbles, with all the different colors in them. Pictures just can't capture how beautiful it is, which is a bummer.
By the time I was able to take a picture, the sun was setting, but it kind of brought out the purple-y shimmer, and maybe even some green if you look hard enough.

Bottle shots time! On the left is indoor light and under that is outdoor twilight sun.

Again, the pictures just don't capture this polish at all. It's understated but beautiful! Oh, PS: This is 4 coats. I know that's a lot for some of you guys out there, but for something like this, I really don't mind. Maybe I'll experiment with layering it over different bases. I can't find which collection it belongs to, so if somebody knows, feel free to enlighten us, please!

  2. Oooh I've thought of getting this one before might have too now. It looks awesome. I think this color is a part of their core line but I'm not sure?

  3. ANSTAH: I love these, too. I've never seen Pearl of Wisdom, but I love OPI Elle's Pearls!

Kittyluvscolor: I believe you're right about the core line. The pics don't do it justice, it's so pretty!

  4. Glad to hear the surgery went well!

I bet this would look great layered over a deep plum.
