The Wizard of Ohh Ahz Returns! Collection

Most of you already know the story behind the return of The Wizard of Ooh Ahz Collection, so let us skip to the important part: the polishes. Interesting collection of colors...some of these polishes were really thin and it took a few coats to get them opaque. They dried quickly, and, for glitters, they weren't too terrible to remove. They also dry matte and gritty, but throw on a topcoat and you're all set. These pictures are taken without a topcoat.

Good Witch? is definitely the color of Glinda the Good Witch. It has a frost finish to it and it looks great on the nail. I'm not really a pink person but I really like this one.

Cowardly Lyin' is the most sheer of the bunch. Above is four coats and still a bit of nail line is visible.

The Ten Man is great...three coats and it's pretty opaque; not as sheer as Cowardly Lyin'. Sparkly sparkly sparkly.

Ruby Pumps is a polish I'd been dying to try, but to be honest, I don't really get all the hype. Don't get me wrong, it is a great color, just not me. Two coats is what's above; now that I see it on camera, I should have used three, but in person it looked perfect.

Dorothy Who? is kind of the opposite; people raved about it online but it never really did anything for me. On my nails, though, I LOVE it. It isn't as sheer as it appears in this picture, but then, we have the flash on my camera to thank for that. Above is four coats, I believe, which is fine by me. I know some people don't like more than three coats, but if it's an opacity thing and not a streakiness issue, I don't mind. And, CG, it's Dorothy Gale. Just kidding, it's a cute name.

C-C-Courage is a no-brainer...I knew I would love it. It's kind of a frosty burple (but mostly purple) color. Three coats to be opaque for this one.

Awesome idea behind a great collection. I do wish there had been a green, though. And not an Emerald Sparkle green, but more of a lime green jello green, like for the Wicked Witch of the East, or Oz. Once again, China Glaze does not disappoint. This collection was released in fall/winter 2009.
