Just a few pink polishes...

Finally home after my exams and it feels GREAT! Today I raided my mother's bathroom and found (shockingly enough) a few nices pinks.

Golden Mauve is a mini Ulta polish. What you see here is three coats and you can still see the nail line. Pretty cool pink with a golden shimer.

Encore Pink reminds me of an old pink tutu of mine. Very sheer, though, and not the easiest polish to work with. Above is four coats, and it is incredibly streaky; I couldn't get it to even out, but someone with a steadier hand than I could maybe make it work. I love the color, but I'm not a fan of the formula at all.

I picked this one up for my mom last Christmas and she loves it; Merriest Mauve is a sweet pink two-coater with berry shimmer. It is metallic-y and can show hints of brushstrokes but if you're careful it's nothing too terrible. Not really mauve in my opinion, but still pretty.

You're a Pisa Work is a bright fuschia. It's a fun tropical color and glides on beautifully. It takes three coats to be opaque, and you have to wait a little bit longer than most polishes in between coats, but it lasts forever. I couldn't show in a picture how bright it really is. I like to wear this one a lot in the summer.

One day I will convert my mother to new polish colors. I mean, I love pink, too, but variety is the spice of life, is it not? We'll start out small, with a deep purple or something. I'll have her sporting lime green tips in no time.

Golden Mauve is from the (deep breath) Ulta Shimmer Finish Salon Formula Nail Lacquer Collection, Encore Pink is from the Ulta Crème Finish Salon Formula Nail Lacquer Collection, Merriest Mauve is from the OPI Holiday Ulta Exclusive Collection of winter 2008, and You're a Pisa Work is from the OPI Classic Collection. I believe the Ulta and the OPI Classic Collections are regularly produced, but I could be wrong.
